BPS Flashback

October 19, 1996

With the upset of the season, Bellevue West’s band claimed first place in the 1996 Omaha Public Schools Invitational, leaving Bellevue East’s Marching Chieftains to accept a chilling defeat.

Despite this unexpected setback, Bellevue East’s band rallied at their second performance of the day and took first in Ankeny, Iowa at the Mid-Iowa Band Championship.

After completing her undergraduate degree at Kearney State (now the University of Nebraska Kearney) in 1985, Swanson attended law school at Creighton University School of Law.
