Kids’ Time did a lot of hiring this year to prepare for a rebound in student attendance post COVID-19. Our fresh staff joins a tenured group who have made a career of working with kids. Here’s a quick “getting-to-know-you” of three amazing staff members.
Name: Linda Stargell
School: Central
Do you have any nicknames? Friends and Family call me Linny.
Who is your favorite author? My favorite author is Max Lucado and many of his books.
Do you have any siblings? I have 10 siblings.
How long have you worked at Kids’ Time? I have been with Kids’ Time for almost a month now.
What do you enjoy most about working with children? I love children and how children are so resilient.
What is your favorite activity to do with family and friends? I am very active with my grandchildren. Three of them play sports. One plays volleyball and three of them play softball and my little grandson keeps us all busy.

Please share your funniest story or memory with Kids’ Time. We were playing our “Fabulous Friday” game. If your number gets called you win a prize. It was our last prize to win. The last number called was of one of our KG’s. I announced, “and Charlotte wins a pencil bag.” All I heard was this screaming and her running at me. She literally snatched the bag out of my hand and yelled, “Oh my God, I always wanted a pencil bag.”

How long have you worked at Kids’ Time? 23 years
What do you enjoy most about working with children? I love watching them play make-believe together and seeing the things they come up with. It is hilarious. I ask the staff, “Oh Lord, did I play like that as a kid?”
Do you have any pets? If so, name and breed? Bella Luciano (Chihuahua) & Gambino Capone (Siamese/Himalayan Mix-cat)
What is your favorite activity to do with family and friends? Go to lunch/Dinner
Do you collect anything? If so, please describe. Raggedy Ann and Andy items
If you could travel the world, where would you go and why? Back to Europe to live there again. Everything is so amazing and beautiful and I would like to continue my travels there.

Do you have any siblings? Yes, I am the oldest of 4. I have a brother and 2 sisters.
Are you a member of any clubs or teams? I am a member of Kicking Tigers Taekwondo. I will be testing for my black belt there in December!
Please share your funniest story or memory with Kids’ Time. When former preschool students realized that I was here at Fairview with them now. I loved seeing the joy and smiles it brought to their faces!

How long have you worked at Kids’ Time? Since May of this year.
What do you enjoy most about working with children? The pure amazement of self-worth when they master a new skill.
Do you have any pets? If so, name and breed? Yes. I have 2 dogs and a cat: a German Shepherd named Max, a Border Collie named Minnie, and a Siamese Cat named Mickey or Mick
What is your favorite activity to do with family and friends? Walking dogs with my neighbors or going to the zoo with my family.

If you could travel the world, where would you go and why? Germany, I have wanted to visit since my dad and I researched our family history before he passed.
